‘Beautiful China’ marks 60 years of Sino-Pak friendship

The first-ever exhibition by Xinhua News Agency on ‘Beautiful China’ was exhibited here on Thursday at Rawalpindi Arts Council.
Cultural Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy, Yang Linhai, and Rawalpindi Commissioner Zahid Saeed were the chief guests on the occasion.
Bureau Chief Xinhua News Agency Zhang Qi while talking to ‘The News’ said that this exhibition marks the time tested friendship between Pakistan and China and to celebrate 60 years of our friendship with each other.
This is the first-ever exhibition that Xinhua News Agency has opened its door for Pakistan.
“We are honoured to see such a great turnout of the public specially the interest of the government and local government and the people who are admiring the exhibition. Rawalpindi Arts Council has took the initiative in this regard and exhibited more than 35 photographs showcasing Pakistani and Chinese dignitaries and the important events of China and Pakistan.
This is just the beginning and we look forward for more collaboration with each other in this regard.”
We plan to hold another exhibition in November at PNCA to celebrate 80th Anniversary of Xinhua News Agency. The bureau chief said, “We live in different systems but our friendship is the best friendship in the world.” In Chinese universities Urdu language is also taught to our students.
The photographs showed the Chinese premiers with Pakistani high delegates.
The exhibition revealed the combined military exercises conducted between the two countries. The pictures also showed relief efforts conducted by the Chinese government in Pakistan when it was severely hit by floods and temporary hospitals that were made in order to facilitate the flood affectees.
The pictures showed meetings of Chinese PM and President with Benazir Bhutto, Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, Yusuf Raza Gilani and President Asif Ali Zardari.
