ISLAMABAD: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) succeeded in getting ‘ISO 9001:2008’ certification on Friday for its Company Registration Offices (CROs) in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
“The external ISO certification audit was conducted by DAS Pakistan, which is a worldwide certification body, accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS),” SECP said in a statement.
These Company Registration Offices have developed and implemented quality management system which includes quality policy, quality manual, quality system procedures, quality objectives and checklists.
It also includes documentation of CROs’ procedures in the form of standard operating procedures.
This helped the Company Registration Offices in streamlining procedures, documenting every function and removing procedural gaps.
This is expected to go a long way in improving the CROs’ performance to the optimum satisfaction of stakeholders. The Company Registration Offices have achieved this certification without any non-conformity.
