During the last hearing, the police told the court that the case was being conducted by the SC on which the court gave two days for providing the record. When complainant Jamila Bibi told the court that the police was not recording their statements, then the court ordered the inquiry team to record the statements of the victim family members. The hearing was adjourned till the next week. Meanwhile, police inspector Riaz Abbas appeared before the JIT to record his statement in the case. According to sources, he told the enquiry officers that he was the CIA in-charge in Kasur when Mudassar was brought to his police station. He said the Sadr police investigated the matter and later denied the allegations of being involved in the encounter.
