Double Shah scam victims get Rs 35m

LAHORE: The director general of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Punjab, on Thursday distributed Rs 35 million to 500 victims of the Double Shah scam.
The cheque-distribution ceremony, chaired by DG NAB Punjab Rana Zahid Mahmood, was held at the Chamba House. The DG NAB resolved improve image of Pakistan by eliminating corruption. He said that all the accused in the scam had been arrested and sent to jail for facing trials in the accountability courts.
The looted money recovered through voluntary return and plea bargain is being returned to rightful claimants after thorough verifications, he added.He advised the public not to indulge in unlawful practices of investment. The Punjab NAB has succeeded to finalise voluntary return and plea bargain of Rs 7.5 billion in the Double Shah scam.
