Boy falls from rooftop to death

AN eight-year-old boy died after falling from the roof of his house in the Badami Bagh area on Tuesday.
It was reported that Tanveer, a resident of Khokhar Road, Badami Bagh, was playing on the rooftop of his house when he accidentally fell down and sustained injuries. He was removed to the Mayo Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. However, Badami Bagh police expressed ignorance about the incident.
Child dies of burns: A Four-year-old boy died of burns in the Shahdara area on Tuesday.
Police said the child, identified as Abdullah, was playing in a kitchen when he accidentally fell into boiling water and sustained burns. He was rushed to hospital where he died.
Two killed in road accidents: Two people, include a boy, were killed in separate road accidents here on Tuesday.
A 30-year-old motorcyclist was killed after a tractor hit him in the Manawan police area. Police said the victim, identified as Maqsood, a resident of Dogar Kallan village, was going on a motorcycle when a speeding tractor hit him and he died instantly.
The accused driver managed to escape. Police handed over the body to his family and registered an FIR against the unidentified driver on the complaint of the deceasedís brother.
Meanwhile, a speeding vehicle knocked down a 12-year-old boy in the South Cantonment area.
The deceased was identified as Rafay, a resident of RA Bazaar. Police said the victim was trying cross a road when a speeding car hit him and he died on the spot. Locals of the area captured the car driver and handed him over to police after subjecting him to severe torture.
Later, the police handed over the body to his family and registered a case against the driver.
Businessman dies: A 45-year-old man died in mysterious circumstances in the jurisdiction of Shahdara police on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Muhammad Yasir, a resident of GT Road, Shahdara. Police said the victim, a businessman, was going home when he fell

unconscious along a roadside.
Locals of the area rushed him to hospital where he died. Police handed over the body to his family without any legal procedure on the request of the deceased’s family.
