October 12, 2010

PESHAWAR: Convener of apolitical and anti-graft caucus the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and former federal minister Nawabzada Khwaja Mohammad Hoti has stressed the need for forming of a national government to pull the country out of the prevailing crisis.
Rampant corruption, lawlessness, price hike, excessive power outages and joblessness are at peak, he said while addressing a huge gathering at residence of former nazim of the town union council university Saeedullah here on other day.
The ceremony was held to launch a protest campaign in the city against growing corruption, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Besides Farid Toofan, Former Charsadda district nazim Naseer Khan, former nazim Khan Bahadur Khan, former provincial assembly deputy speaker Ikramullah Shahid, former MPA Dr Zakir Shah and Faizullah Khan were amongst those who spoke on the occasion.
Khwaja Hoti alleged government jobs were on sale in the KP and the present rulers had broken all records of corruption in the province. “Alleviating the miseries of the masses used to be the prime responsibility of the government, but the present coalition partners have completely failed in this regard,” he said.
The ANP dissident MNA said a revolution was the best available option for solution to the problems confronting the country. He accused the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government functionaries of embezzlement in the funds received in the name of internally displaced persons.
