Bail before arrest of ex nazim confirmed

CHAKWAL: Additional District and Session Judge Sohail Ikram on Saturday confirmed a bail before arrest of ex UC nazim Arshad Nazar of Chak Malook.
Earlier, Sadar police had registered a case against the ex nazim for allegedly providing protection to his accused brother who was involved in a dacoity case. The ex nazim through his counsel Ch Mehmood Akhtar told the court that Arshad Nazar was victimised on political ground and a fake case was registered against him. The judge after hearing the argument confirmed the interim bail.
FIVE BOOKED FOR ‘FRAUD’: Kalar Kahar police on Saturday booked five people for fraud at Bhoun village.
According to details, Muhammad Saeed Hassan told the police that he came out from a mosque after offering Friday prayer and saw that there was a great rush of people and it was told that a grave was recovered while digging a water tank. He said that hundreds of people assembled there and Haji Imdad Hussain and his two brothers Abid Hussain and Noor Hussain along with Sabir Ijaz claimed that a coffin was there in the grave and a pious man was also lying in the grave in its original position. Another local religious figure Pir Khalid Shah also confirmed that this was the grave of a holy man. On this, the people demanded that the grave should be opened. In the meantime, the Kalar Kahar police SHO along with heavy contingent of police reached the spot to handle the situation. Later, the grave was dug and only 3 to 4 meter white cloth was recovered and some bricks were put in that white cloth. The people confirmed that this was a fake grave built by the owner of the land to attract and befool the people. The police also arrested Pir Khalid Shah and Abid Hussain while three others succeeded to flee. Later, the police registered a case against the accused persons under sections 295-A, 420 and 511. Further investigations are underway.
