PML’s district level election to complete by 15th

CHAKWAL: Pakistan Muslim League senior vice president Abdul Majeed Malik has said they have received directions from the party’s central executive committee (CEC) to remove differences among various leaders and complete in-party election by July 15 at the district level.

Talking to newsman at his residence on Monday, he said the position of PML’s provincial and central election would clear after the district election while efforts were underway to bring a unified candidate for the presidentship. He further said the leadership had been asked to have a close contact with the people to make the party a big political force.

CABLE OPERATOR’S KILLERS SUMMONED: Additional District and Sessions Judge Sohail Nasir Monday admitted a private complaint regarding the murder case of cable operator Mirza Dilshad Khan and summoned all the seven accused to appear before the court for trial.

The complainant, Intesar Mehdi, had submitted that he was not satisfied with the police investigation, which had declared two accused innocent. The judge appointed Judicial Magistrate Ameer Mukhtar Gondal as the inquiry officer. The inquiry had stated that there was solid proof against accused Pir Abdul Sattar, Arshad Nazir, Mian Abdul Rasheed, Zafar Iqbal, Haji Muhammad Rafiq, Rana Naveed and Tahir Mahmood.
