Dear Ed,
In last week’s issue (7 October), I liked the back cover. For once, you chose to honour a hero of Pakistan. However, I think your readers - including me - want more. The interview of the champion in Us will make me very happy. Usman Wazeer has made history, and we deserve to know more about him. He seems like a great guy, and I am sure he will go places. I also like ‘Comic Relief’, but I think the comics strip should be a bit bigger because it hurts my eyes when I read the comics.

Hi Eddy,
It is very upsetting that women are subjected to violence in our society. We should all stand against it and protect women. One thing that I have observed is that on social media, men are demonized by women. We should stop making everything a war between these two genders. There are so many men in our society who are extremely supportive and uplift women in all walks of life. These men should also receive recognition. Us should do a story on these issues to educate the youth.

Hi Ed,
I don’t see entertainment stories in the magazine. Please publish movie and drama reviews in Us. ‘The Green Room’ and ‘Comic Relief’ pages are my favourite pages.

Hello Editor,
“Eid Engagement and Other Weddings #40” by Iqra Asad was a great read! I really enjoyed it. And I am so happy to finally see some action in the story.
I have a suggestion for the writer: there are so many things that happen at our desi weddings that could be included in the storyline to make it more interesting.
Also, I loved watching Iqra’s interview on Instagram. I wonder how she manages her studies along with writing fiction. Iqra, you should now write something about this as well. I would love to read a story that has university students as characters and how they navigate through life and cope up with the challenges of this century.
Lastly, I would like to see better pictures with the story. The pictures are usually very disconnected and not that impressive.

Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):
While the Prophet (S.A.W) was saying something in a gathering, a Bedouin came and asked him, “When would the Hour (Doomsday) take place?” Allah’s Apostle continued his talk, so some people said that Allah’s Apostle had heard the question, but did not like what that Bedouin had asked. Some of them said that Allah’s Apostle had not heard it. When the Prophet finished his speech, he said, “Where is the questioner, who enquired about the Hour (Doomsday)?” The Bedouin said, “I am here, O Allah’s Apostle.” Then the Prophet said, “When honesty is lost, then wait for the Hour (Doomsday).” The Bedouin said, “How will that be lost?” The Prophet said, “When the power or authority comes in the hands of unfit persons, then wait for the Hour (Doomsday.)”
