As it takes the people lost, to their humbling homes ...

Now close the windows

By Robert Frost

Now close the windows and hush all the fields:

If the trees must, let them silently toss;

No bird is singing now, and if there is,

Be it my loss.

It will be long ere the marshes resume,

I will be long ere the earliest bird:

So close the windows and not hear the wind,

But see all wind-stirred.

I‘ll be gone

By Eman Fatima

It’s chaos everywhere

And nothing seems right

I’m fading away because of fright

The fear of not being good enough

Not for you or for anyone

Tell me what to do

Should I wait?

Should I let all our memories go?

The turmoil within me

The gut feelings I have

The thoughts I carry

In my head

Like some chaotic fish market

Tell me to let it all go

To be stronger

Either with you or without you

At some point of your life

My words or memories will move you

But I’ll be gone

I’ll be gone forever

Gone away for something that was never meant to be mine

I’ll be gone...

Heart of gold

By Sania Daniyal Bhatti

Her dead eyes may seem cold

Her young mind that thinks bold

Brave tongue that will not hold

If she were a place, she’d be an open road

As it takes the people lost, to their humbling homes

A space big enough, for your troubles to be stored

The void in her may suck your soul

Her silence, melting you, plays its role

The darkness, she caged may take a toll

Fear not, to top it all

Her soul is of platinum, her heart is of gold

That sums up her beauty, which can never be old

Graduate

By Mashaal Farid

It’s the journey I count

On the tick-tock of clock

Had it raised me

What seemed a mere block

Turning my head, I stepped ahead

I too in the crowd, aiming masthead

Dream; soar to the sky

With that my fears all die

To ransack the goal, blaze my passions

Not hard but work smart; this my fashion

Facing it; standing still like a rock

No longer I’m that ruffled jock

But ahead is now that road

I’ll choose

It’s time to move

From converse to shoes.
