This refers to the letter, ‘Free fraud’ (February 12) by Wing Commander (r) Khalid Ismail. The writer has drawn the PTA’s attention towards methods adopted by cellular companies – which amount to fleecing their customers.

Cellular companies in the country have made it a common practice to send up to five advertorial messages to their customers daily. It has been observed that some of these companies activate certain packages without getting approval from the person concerned and start deducting charges. There should be some checks on such undesired practices.
