Lollywood’s much-adored hero Moammar Rana aka Momee is all set to make a comeback and give the new wave of cinema a taste of his acting skills. The first official teaser of his film, titled Sikander, is out and it packs a punch or two, quite literally. Rana, who has undergone intensive training for his role in the film, is seen sporting heavy duty muscles, brought to good use in some action-fueled sequences.
The whole feel of the film reminds us of a bunch of Sunny Deol movies where he turns messiah for those frustrated with law enforcers. But the visual quality of the film, as seen in the teaser, the effects and Rana’s all-new avatar so far have us hooked to watch out for the trailer. The fact that it is an out and out action film will add to the diversity of films being made in the country for recent past has mostly seen a string of rom-edies hit the big screen. Nevertheless, the film does seem to fall into clichéd territory and one hopes that Rana manages to break away from the typical Lollywood image. Sikander also stars Nadeem Baig, Farhan Ali Agha and Haya Sehgal and marks Rana’s debut as a director.
