At least 4 children drowned after vehicle fell in Sialkot canal

SIALKOT: Four children – two girls and two boys – drowned after a vehicle fell in a canal from the Station Bridge here on Friday.

Initial reports suggest that rescuers have successfully salvaged at least three people alive.

The affected people were heading home after attending a funeral in a Suzuki Carry, according to our correspondent Waheed Ghani.

Rescue officials said that all four children were declared dead upon arriving at the hospital.
