Bollywood mega star, Salman Khan has submitted a caveat petition in India’s supreme court, requesting it to hear his stance when the court takes up the Maharshtra government’s appeal against his acquittal in the hit-and-run case.

The case relates to Salman Khan’s SUV that had hit five people in Mumbai in 2002, killing one of them and injuring the rest.

A trial court handed down five-year sentence to Salman Khan.

However, the Bombay high court acquitted Salman Khan in December last year. The verdict was challenged last Friday by Maharshtra government in the supreme court.
