KARACHI: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) secretary Shahbaz Ahmad Senior has said that the former Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali’s statement about mismanagement of PHF funds were baseless.
“There are records of every penny since I became secretary of the federation,” he said.
“There are audit reports and if someone wants to scrutinize them then he is welcome. However, I feel that it is highly immoral to allege anyone without any evidence,” he added.
He accused Jamali, also a former PHF President, of pressurizing Prime Minister to let him become the federation’s chief once more.
“I believe Jamali’s statement had come out of frustration for being unable to become federation’s president once again,” he said.
He added that such statements would only hurt the morale and hopes of hockey fraternity in the country, who are expecting the green shirts to rule the world of hockey.
