Rupee firmer

The rupee ended firmer against the dollar due to lackluster demand for imports and corporate, dealers said on Tuesday.

The rupee ended at 104.94 to the dollar against previous day’s close of 104.95 in interbank foreign exchange market.

The dealers said that falling commodity prices in the global markets kept the rupee value maintained.

The interbank market opened in the band of Rs104.93 – 104.95. The dollar traded at high of Rs104.95 and low of Rs104.93.
