LOS ANGELES: Renowned research scholar, former state minister for religious affairs, analyst and author of several books Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain has delivered a lecture titled “How the Muslims Living in the US Should Lead Lives and the Challenges They Face” here on Sunday.

The lecture followed by a question-answer session. The scholar said that the Muslims living in the US should lead their lives as taught by the Holy Prophet (PBUH) to the Muslims while sending them to ‘Habsha’.

Dr Aamir said neither yesterday extremism was a part of religion nor it can be made component of Islam today. He was of the view that through moderation and good behavior we can solve misconceptions and one should not make an attempt to thrust religion upon others.

He said that Islam is the name of acceptance and not being thrust upon others. He said that our way of explanation might be wrong but our religion, our Holy Prophet (PBUH) and his teachings are true and the best manifesto of the world.

Earlier, Dr Aamir also gave a lecture to Pakistani and Indian community in Las Vegas, often referred to as “Sin City”.
