ISLAMABAD: Indian troops on Sunday killed one Kashmiri youth in the Kulgam district, taking the three-day toll of their brutal operations in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir to six.
According to the Kashmir Media Service, the youth was killed by occupation forces during a violent cordon and search operation in the Yaripora area of the district. The Indian forces snapped internet services and blocked all entry and exit points of the area while operation was going on till last reports.
On Saturday, three Kashmiri youths were gunned down in the Bandipora district’s Sumlar area. Like the Kulgam operation, all entry and exit points of Sumlar locality were cordoned off. Three Indian soldiers were injured in an attack in the same area and were taken to the hospital. Occupied Kashmir’s Inspector General of Police, Vijay Kumar, told media that one injured soldier was evacuated to Indian Army’s 92 base hospital in Srinagar. On Friday, two youths were killed in a similar operation in Sopore town of Baramulla district.
