LAHORE: Pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi is determined to bounce back in the second ODI between Pakistan and England, which will be played at Lord’s on Saturday (today).
The 21-year-old Shaheen thinks Lord’s conditions will support the Green-shirts. “Our record at Lord’s has been great, our batsmen scored runs in the World Cup [2019]. I am sure we will bounce back in the second ODI,” Shaheen said in a video released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
“Conditions at Lord’s support us. Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq also scored well at Lord’s during the World Cup. The best bowling of my career is also at Lord’s,” he added.
Shaheen emphasised that the team would have to develop partnerships in both departments. “We need partnerships in batting and bowling. If one bowler is bowling a maiden over, the pressure has to remain intact from the other end,” he said.
