The 2021-2022 budget was called the pro-people budget. However, as soon as the budget was passed in the National Assembly (NA), we got introduced to new taxes. How is the salaried class supposed to meet its expenses? Even though the federal and provincial governments have increased salaries, the private sector is silent on the matter. Ever since Pakistan got hit by the Covid-19 pandemic, privately run companies withdrew all incentives and bonuses.
They expressed that because of Covid-19, their businesses have been badly affected. The cost of living is increasing at a rapid pace. Without increment, it will become impossible for salaried people to make their ends meet.
