The government has made commendable arrangements to carry out its vaccination programme in a smooth manner. However, in Islamabad, the F9 park vaccination centre is facing an acute shortage of vaccine doses because of which many people were sent back. This created a lot of problems for people. There is a dire need to ensure that all vaccination centres have a sufficient number of vaccine doses. Also, it is important to draw the attention of the authorities to the worrying situation in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB). The government hasn’t increased the number of vaccination centres in the region.
The government’s laid-back attitude can aggravate the already critical situation. The healthcare authorities must take immediate steps to resolve these problems.
