This refers to the letter ‘Power prices’ (June 24) by Kamran Ali. It is true that electricity prices have increased to unaffordable levels. Because of the financial crunch caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, many people have lost their jobs.
They don’t have enough money to meet their monthly expenses. The authorities should understand that people don’t have enough financial means to pay for inflated utility bills. They must do something to bring down the rising rate of inflation in the country.
