3 die from corona in twin cities

RAWALPINDI: A total of 58 new patients have been tested positive for coronavirus illness, COVID-19 from Islamabad Capital Territory and Rawalpindi district in the last 24 hours that is the lowest number of cases reported in a day from the region in the last eight months. The virus, however, has claimed another three lives from the twin cities taking the death toll to 1,758 while the total number of patients so far reported from the region has reached 106,679 on Sunday. Data collected by ‘The News’ has revealed that the virus has claimed two lives from ICT in the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 771 while one patient from Rawalpindi district has lost life due to the illness taking the death toll from the district to 987. In the last 24 hours, 34 new patients have been registered from the federal capital. As many as 82,099 patients have been reported from ICT of which 79,349 patients have recovered. The number of active cases of the disease from ICT has reduced to 1,979 on Sunday after recovery of 209 patients in the last 24 hours.
