Three people were wounded in separate incidents of firing on Saturday.
According to the Saeedabad police, a man was injured in a firing incident in Baldia Town’s Sector 9A. Rescuers transported the injured to the Civil Hospital, Karachi where he was identified as 34-year-old Jamil, son of Jalil. The police suspected that the incident took place over a personal enmity.
Separately, 28-year-old Irshad, son of Abdullah, was wounded in a firing in SITE Area. The injured was taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Police said some unidentified persons opened fire at him over unexplained reasons.
Moreover, 30-year-old Imtiaz, son of Hussain, was wounded in a firing incident that took place near Super Highway. The injured was taken to a private hospital in Gulshan-e-Iqbal. The motive behind the incident was yet to be ascertained. Further investigation is under way.
Man found dead
The body of a man was recovered from the debris of a factory’s collapsed wall in Export Processing Zone, Landhi. A wall of the factory located at Export Processing Zone in Landhi was collapsed on Friday night within the limits of Sukkan police station.
The incident took place on Friday night, but the search and rescue operation remained continued on Saturday. The rescuers recovered the body of 30-year-old Zahoor Ahmed, son of Gulab Khan, and four people alive from the debris. Search operation for 18-year-old Ahsan was under way. The casualties were taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
The law enforcers, while quoting the initial investigation, said the roof collapsed after a trailer hit it. It also damaged the first floor of the factory.
