Mansehra district gets passport office

MANSEHRA: Federal Minister for Haj and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Mohammad Yousaf inaugurated the passport office here on Saturday.

“Establishing passport office is first step towards honouring the promises made by my party ahead of 2013 general elections. And prime minster is due here soon to inaugurate work on airport and Havelian-Mansehra motorway projects,” the minister told a gathering after inaugurating the passport office here.

MPAs Saleh Mohammad Khan and Sardar Zahoor, district nazim Said Ghulam and other elected representatives were also present on the occasion.

Sardar Yousaf said that Mansehra was on way to prosperity and development as mega projects were being launched.

The minister said that land acquisition for second phase of Hazara Motorway from Havelian to Mansehra was underway.

He said that recently three more branches of Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) were made functional in Balakot, Darband and Lassan Nawab to facilitate the farmers of remote areas.

The minister said that the loadshedding would come to an end in district soon as work on 20 megawatt grid station was in final stage.
