Gorgeous Maham Mirza is a breath of fresh air in the fashion fraternity. Mirza forayed into the showbiz after she was persuaded by her friends to try out modelling. For that, she approached Mumtaz Mehar, a fashion coordinator, to help her pursue a career in fashion; who referred Mirza to photographer Abdul Qayume. She did a few shoots with Qayume and then came across another coordinator Abid Baig, who brought her to Khawar Riaz. Mirza has shot for big names like NikkieNina, Amna Ajmal, Honey Waqar, Komal Amir, Sania Qureshi. Erum Khan and Ahmed Bilal to name a few. Now, the model is all set to appear on TV serial ‘Naagin Aik Kahani’, directed by Shah Bilal. You! How old you were when you started doing your makeup?
When I was 13 years old.
You! What is your go-to makeup?
Very limited to lipstick and mascara.
You! When stepping out, do you wear makeup all the time?
No, I don’t used makeup all the time.
You! Do you use sunblock or any serums when you go to shoots?
No, I’ve never used serums and sunblock. I only use aloe vera gel.
You! Summer is around the corner, any tip for school and university going girls?
Just apply aloe vera gel on your skin rather than serums.
You! What is your favourite perfume?
‘Pure Me’.
You! Your favourite brands in lipsticks?
Gabrini Cosmetics, Kashee’s, Medora.
You! Do you use lighter tones of foundations or warm tones?
Lighter tones.
You! When you come back from shoots, there must be a lot of makeup to remove. What are your steps to cleanse it?
First off, I’ll apply Bioderma makeup cleanser and then aloe vera gel.
You! What are two cosmetics you cannot do without?
Lipstick and mascara.
You! Hair gets damaged after straightening and blow drying. How do you manage?
I have different kinds of extensions to protect my hair.
You! And what do you do to keep hair healthy?
I always apply olive oil on my hair and keep it on for 3 hours max.
You! Advice for women who can’t buy expensive brands but still want to look good:
Just work on your skin then you’ll absolutely look pretty.
You! What is your take on natural makeup or zero makeup?
Natural makeup, always.
You! One thing you can’t give up that keeps you healthy and fit?
To be honest my mom’s food always make me feel healthy.
You! Do you go to salon regularly for your facials?
I don’t prefer salon for regular facials.

Lipstick, hair brush, mascara and my lenses.

I don’t used any anti-aging creams.

Being natural, staying fit and healthy.

Al-Fateh, mostly.

I can’t stand rejections of any kind. This is due to the belief I have that I am capable enough to take things in my stride.
