KARACHI: Taking notice of the arbitrary raise in fee by the private schools, Karachi Commissioner, Shoaib Siddiqui on Thursday ordered the private schools to withdraw increases in fees.
“Government will not allow hike in school fee without taking prior permission from it,” the Karachi Commissioner said during his meeting with associations of private schools here.
He said the arbitrary increase in school fee has caused serious concern among parents.
Earlier, the Directorate of Private Education issued notices to three private schools in the city, seeking reasons behind the fee increase.
The notices were issued to City Grammar School, Generation School and Shaheen Public School.
Parents had been protesting outside these schools against the fee increase, chanting ‘no fee till low fee’.
