Anwaar Khawar ventured into modelling in 2010 with the first edition of Bridal Couture Week, which was followed by Colombo Fashion Week in 2012 held in Sri Lanka. Since then, he has been an integral part of every big fashion show – be it Bridal Couture Week, PFDC fashion week or FPW. And not just shows in Pakistan, Anwaar has participated in international shows as well like Dubai Fashion Week (2014) and Qatar Fashion Week (2018). Apart from that, he has been featured in a number of TVCs by big brands like PEL, Warid and Sufi among others; and has modelled in adverts for HSY, Toni&Guy, Depilex, Stoneage, Munib Nawaz to name a few.

Apart from modelling, Anwaar has also been a news anchor in 2015 which led him to host a Bridal Couture Week in 2016. Moreover, he is also now an experienced business owner as he recently opened the third branch of his gym and health club called ‘Verzish’ in Lahore. Let’s get to know the likes and dislikes of this heartthrob…

What do you consider as your biggest asset?

Persistence. Even when I face hard times in my career, this frame of mind helps me nurture my work more thoroughly and intelligently.

Your biggest strength:

My ability to meet the expectations of my directors.

Your claim to fame project:

For me, it would always the first one when I walked on ramp for HSY. It gave me the high I needed in my career.

What is your noteworthy project till date?

Participated as a model and hosted bridal couture week in 2016 simultaneously.

Your most valuable possession:

Family and kids!

Your favourite International label(s):

PHILLIP PLEIN and Versace.

When feeling low, what do you prefer?

I usually hit the gym and workout, and hang out.

You are afraid of:

Anything that crawls like snakes, cockroach, rats.

Your worst nightmare:

It already happened when all the gyms were officially closed due to covid-19.

The phase in life that you cherish the most:

My childhood; as it comes only once in your life when you happen to be really carefree and just eat, sleep and play.

Something you would like to erase from your mind?

Covid-19. I want everyone to move on from it.

One thing you like about yourself?

My willingness to explore new things and getting into adventures.

Among your friends, you’re known as:

A must for the party.

What is the biggest misconception about you came to know about yourself?

People, who don’t know me in-person, usually assume that I am a snob, but I am not.

What touches you the most?

Honesty and sincerity.

How would you define love?

Love is unconditional with no set standards, boundaries and no space in between. There is no asking for a return, you just love.

You like girls who are:

Witty.

You get turned on by?

I like girls who are confident and expressive with a strong personality.

Your teenage crush:

Sonali Bandre.

One person you would like to dine out with:

Salman Khan and no other.

If you could be another person, who would you like to be?

I want to be like Salman Khan. I love his personality as he has remained humble despite his tremendous success.

Do you have any regrets?

No regrets. Everything that happened left me with an experience to learn from.

An unfulfilled wish:

Meet Salman Khan someday. He has been my greatest inspiration.

Tell us about your upcoming projects:

I’ll be opening the third branch of my Verzish gym & health club.

A message for the readers:

My message is for the youngsters, stop looking for short-cuts in life as it would not help them sustain. It is only passion and hard work that helps one achieve the real success.
