Wait, scratch that. Shaan may be the poster boy for Lollywood but Moammar wins by a mile for being the most likeable actor in the industry. After a three-year hiatus during which the actor took over television to entertain audiences in serials like Roshan Sitara and Billo Bablu and Bhaiyya, Moammar is set to return to the big screen with his directorial debut Sikander.

The film’s first look that was shared on Moammar’s official fan page reveals that the actor has gone through a rigorous physical transformation to get a muscular bod for all the action that it is in store. Sikander will star Moammar in the lead while the rest of the cast is soon to be revealed.
Lollywood ventures have long been criticized for being unoriginal and nonsensical, depicting an era that the current generation can’t relate to. However, it seems that things may be taking a turn for the better as Syed Noor too has announced a new venture titled Bhai Wanted. Will Sikander be able to dust off Lollywood’s stale image and add to the string of many experimental films that are now making up the new wave of Pakistani cinema?

The film is set to go on floors by July and is expected to release some time in winters. It will feature the singing talents of Abrar-ul-haq, Fariha Pervaiz and Humaira Arshad.
