BITS ‘n’ PIECES
There’s a deceptive kind of polar ice that is floating in the Arctic. While it looks thick and stable from a distance, it can break apart before researchers’ eyes — in a phenomenon known as “rotten ice”. Since scientists have long relied on satellites to measure ice, discovery of this illusion has led to a scary truth: that our ice caps are actually more at risk than we thought. And this impact extends far beyond the North Pole.
While this wintry crop circle looks like it might have been created by a UFO, this complex snow design is actually 100 percent human.
