Areeba Habib

Areeba Habib started her modelling some three and a half years ago but in a short span of time she has earned a place for herself in the fashion world. Though Areeba’s entry into showbiz is relatively new, her promising looks and professional attitude indicate that she is going to be one of the top models of Pakistan. She was discovered by Frieha Altaf during one of her Veet shows in 2011. Since then she has participated in all the major shows and fashion weeks of Pakistan. “When I started my career in modelling, Frieha Altaf, Deepak Perwani, HSY, Adnan Pardesi have been instrumental in guiding me. I am indebted to all of them,” says Areeba who is in third year of earning her Bachelors degree from Asian Institute of Fashion Design (AIFD). Like most models Areeba is also considering acting on the small screen but hasn’t finalised anything. At present she is working with several designers and fashion houses completing their collections. What are your most memorable fashion shows?
This is hard because I truly enjoy walking the ramp and all major fashion events leave a memorial mark on you

Is modelling your passion or just a time pass? Or a way of making money?
It is definitely a passion and I take it as a career. I am totally devoted to my profession and constantly try to produce my best for the clients. Like any job it is also my source of income

Anything comfortable

My lip balm

When stepping out, do you wear makeup all the time?
Not all the time, I usually wear light make up

One thing you like best about yourself...
I am an easy going person and it does not take too much effort to please me. If I like you I will be your best friend especially in times of need

Which designer’s clothes you would always love to wear?
I like elegance in my evening wears and feel most comfortable wearing Deepak, Nomi, Nida Azwher and Shehla Chatoor. For casual wear I love FnkAsia

Sophisticated and mature in their behaviour. The man in your life should always be capable of taking command whenever it’s necessary

I’m always on the phone; people get bugged by it all the time
