you & me

Dazzling and beautiful actor Hira Pervaiz has always maintained a low profile. Stepping into showbiz was never in the list of ‘things to do’ for this beauty. Her foray into media was totally unexpected. She was an A-grade student, a nerd wearing glasses, sporting short hair and a shy personality. Your biggest assets:

My well-wishers.

Your biggest strength:

I feel I have the strongest will power that always helps me bounce back.

Things you are possessive about:

My car and my bed room.

Your worst nightmare:

What if the plane crashes and I find myself all alone on a deserted island?!

You wish you could:

Take a year off from work and travel all over the world. Explore each and every place by living there and getting to know about the people and their culture.

If you get a chance to relive your life, what would you want to be?

I would like to start off all over again and pursue a career in politics.

Things you would like to remember:

Being the firstborn in the family. I was the focus of attention of all and I want to preserve some of the very fond memories that I had with my grandparents.

Do you have any regrets?

I think everything happens for a reason and I have no regrets.

You still remember:

My first day in media and how incredibly shy I was. Luckily, there were people who raised my spirit and made things easy for me.

Things you would want to forget:

There have been incidents where I was deceived by some close ones – blood ties, really close friends and people for whom I went out of the way to help them. Every single day I try to forget all this as these things only pull me down and don’t let me move forward in life.

When feeling low you prefer:

Being by myself in my bedroom and listening to Rahat’s songs as those always make me feel better.

Things you like about yourself:

I love the fact that I am extremely determined and strong.

The definition of love that you strongly believe in:

Absolute trust and friendship, these are the two constants of the love equation.

What touches you the most?

Anyone who talks with respect, love and affection.

You get immensely annoyed when:

I’m surrounded by boring people and to be very honest I have many of those in my life. Secondly, I am a big foodie and when my food is bad that really puts me off.

You get turned on by:

Men who are kind, respectful, intelligent and compassionate. This is a big turn-on for me and if I find someone fitting into that canvas, I would be running after him.

Your teenage crush:

I watched the movie Autumn in New York and instantly fell in love with Richard Gere.

You would like to dine out with:

Brad Pitt.

Things you are afraid of?

Fire. I had an accident in which the stove exploded and I had bruises on my arm but I was miraculously saved.

Biggest misconception about you:

That I am full of myself. But, when the same people get to know me, they feel no qualms in saying that I’m very down to earth.

A message for our readers:

My message for anyone looking to step into the industry is to at least educate yourself to the degree that you know how to handle, communicate and deal with people. Maintain your morals and values, and learn how to carry yourself in every capacity. Never ever give up, just be determined and focused.
