The sacking of former principal of Aitchison College Lahore Dr Agha Ghazanfar, who was especially hired to bring discipline in the once premier education institutions, paints a bleak picture of the state of affairs in the country.
Dr Agha was removed despite the fact that his tenure was for a fixed five years. The reason for his sacking was that he resisted some of the high and mighty of the land and refused to give admissions to the scions of influentials and politicians. The consequences of such mentality are before us.
