LAHORE: Belgian ambassador Frederic Verheyden on Wednesday called for sector-specific efforts to take the volume of trade between his country and Pakistan to a higher level.
The ambassador was talking to members of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He said despite the fact that the trade between the Belgium and Pakistan is growing steadily still there is much room for further development in two-way trade.
He said that the exchange of trade delegations and trade fairs in countries is the most effective marketing tool.
LCCI president Sheikh Muhammad Arshad said that Pakistan is in dire need of foreign direct investment, and sought foreign investors and buyers in Europe. He said that there are immense opportunities of investment in almost all sectors in Pakistan.
