In the Kolwah area of the Awaran district in Balochistan, education is in a mess. Children are not receiving basic education because there are no schools in some areas. And if there is one, then one finds that teachers are mostly absent from their duties. They are getting salaries but not coming to school. Also, some teachers are not well qualified. School buildings that were damaged when an earthquake hit Awaran in 2013 have not been rebuilt. Because of these problems students do not take much interest in education. The authorities concerned are requested to take notice of this deteriorating education situation in the district.
