COUCH POTATOES

What are we complaining about? What is our issue? Every day, we wish we had unlimited time for Netflix, food and bed, and could stay there for good. And now when we have been asked to do that, we complain!

By staying home and chilling, you are actually saving lives. So instead of whining, let’s make the most of this lockdown by staying home and catching up on some of the greatest shows online.

Spy

If you are, like me, too busy with work to have ignored this thrilling season, this is your golden opportunity. Sacha Baron Cohen outdid himself playing the Egyptian born Mossad spy, Eli Cohen, who shook the politics of Syria in early 1960s. A gripping story coupled with riveting performances, Spy is a miniseries that is a must watch.

The Americans

While we are on the spy thriller genre, I would like to recommend another one of my favourites that a lot of people might not have seen – The Americans. It’s about Russian spies in America who pose as an American couple and lived their entire lives there, feeding information to their government. Keri Russell and Mathew Rhys, with their various guises and engaging performances, will keep you hooked from the first episode till the end.

Designated Survivor

The Kiefer Sutherland show about the accidental American President is a treat to watch, or at least you will feel that way till Season 2. If you liked the House of Cards, then this is definitely your genre. But unlike House of Cards, this just not only focus on dirty politics but has enough parallel plots of curbing terrorist activities for your desired dose of action.

Oh! And if you haven’t even seen House of Cards, please go watch that first.

Narcos

This is based on the true story of Colombia’s infamously violent and powerful cocaine drug cartels that spread their business across the globe. This gritty series is about the brutal conflict between them and the law enforcement organizations. If gangster movies, violence is your thing and you don’t mind watching blood on screens, then this will keep you gripped.

After all, who minds a little Pablo Escobar in their quarantined lives these days.

Money Heist

Though I don’t think if you are into seasons, you have missed Money Heist but if by any stroke of bad luck, you have. Get. On. It. NOW! By the time you will read this, the season 4 of the show will have been released, so you will have enough to binge watch.

As the name suggests, this show about robbing the mint of Spain and then Bank of Spain, is one of the best you would see in a long time. So, get your game face on and start indulging yourself. Now!
