What about the lawyers?

Our nation is also going through a terrible crisis. Due to this pandemic, all activities of all communities have frozen. Like other communities, the legal fraternity in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is also facing numerous problems and has been badly affected by the Covid-19 menace. It is an open secret that the legal fraternity, especially junior lawyers with less than five years of experience, have no fixed income. This situation is leading them down a path of depression and is making their lives miserable.

In this current situation, it is painful to say that the number of lawyers suffering financially who will not be able to sustain and support their families during this lockdown situation is just rising. It is the duty of the government to provide the legal fraternity with physical as well as financial security because lawyers are a main part of the country’s justice system. The Pakistan Bar Council and especially the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bar Council also need to support the legal fraternity.
