Islamabad was famous for its greenery, but now no more. Every effort is being made by all relevant quarters to convert it into a concrete jungle. Old trees are being cut, especially in F-9 Park, F-10 and F-11 sectors, without any replacement with grown up trees. It's really very painful environmentally and also detrimental to the outlook of the city.
Since plantation season is on, it's high time that concerned authorities chalk out the tree's replenishment plan on a war footing to minimize the damage done so far to the environment.
