Similar to a ‘Sooji ka halwa’, ‘Ravo’ by the Zoroastrians is made in every household on an auspicious occasion. So be it a birthday, anniversary or the Parsi New Year (Navroze), the day starts off with a breakfast of either Ravo or Sev. INGREDIENTS

Milk 2 1/2 cups

Semolina 6 tbsp

Ghee 3-4 tbsp

Sugar 6 tbsp

Eggs 2

Vanilla essence 1 tsp

Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp

Rose water 1 tbsp

Nutmeg powder 1/2 tsp

Almonds (blanched and sliced) 50gm

Raisins (soaked in water & dried) 50gm
