In this age of cut-throat competition, both teachers and parents have found that the students of today get great marks in exams, but they find themselves unable to cope with social and practical challenges. As the need to excel academically is more pertinent than ever students are increasingly isolated from social and practical life.
Resultantly, they lack the skills necessary to lead a well-balanced life. The parents of such students are all praise for their children and advise them to continue with their monotonous routines. This lifestyle is disastrous for their physical and mental well-being in the long run. In order to reverse this unhealthy trend parents and teachers need to rethink the priorities they place upon their children and place a greater emphasis on sports and extra-curricular activities.
