Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has said differences among ruling coalition partners indicates that the PTI government is about to be sent packing.

The PTI is engaged in serious tug of war with the provinces over distribution of resources and powers and at the same time its coalition partners have reservations over its failure to fulfill commitments made with them, he said while addressing a seminar at Mansoora and talking to the media here on Thursday. Siraj warned that instead of resolving the problems, PTI was persistently displaying a non-serious attitude and itself creating one crisis after another. A federal minister by bringing a boot in a live TV show to indicate that ‘army made the opposition parties support the legislation’ for extending army chief’s tenure is the recent example of it, he added. The minister’s act followed by a futile debate on media over army’s role in legislation is tantamount to bringing serious damage to the reputation of the Armed Forces’ institution and it was also disrespect to the entire nation, he said, adding the masses were the ultimate victims of the entire political drama created by the government. Sirajul Haq said the government was not only formulating flawed domestic policies but it also failed to perform positively on diplomatic front. Instead of fighting the case of people of Kashmir, he said, the PTI regime started a war with people of Pakistan. The skyrocketing inflation and unemployment made it impossible for a common man to meet his both ends in present circumstances, he lamented. The IMF was on driving seat and it has taken control of the all government sectors, he said. Siraj criticised the prime minister for not even fulfilling his main commitment to start a ruthless and across the board accountability drive.

Siraj called for referring the matter to the Federal Shariat Court of those who cursed each other by holding Holy Quran in their hands during national assembly proceedings.

The seminar held under the banner of National Association for Education and was attended by the heads of different educational institutions and teachers.
