Pernicious perks

Many times we have observed that government employees on important positions get additional roles and responsibilities for international organization projects or government projects, which entitles them to extra salary, expense, project vehicles and equipment. Such practices should be banned as they are counterproductive. First, such practices compromise new job creation, while a government employee is made busier making him/her neglect his/her government job.

Similarly, the greed for new project vehicles and equipment entices corruption among the officers while unnecessarily increasing the project costs. Extra payments to government employees for simply doing their jobs should also be banned. Bonuses for every employee that achieves quarterly targets should be used to incentivize better performance.
