6.4 magnitude quake rattles Punjab, KP

ISLAMABAD: A magnitude 6.4 quake jolted several parts of the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday. According to the NDMA, no loss of life or property was reported in the quake that struck at around 4:40pm.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the epicenter of the quake was Koh-e-Hindukush in Afghanistan. Its depth was measured 210 kilometers.

The tremors were felt in Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Nankana Sahib, Kamoke, Muzaffarabad, Bannu, Azad Kashmir, Murree, Chitral, Sargodha, Malakand, Hafizabad, Para Chinar, Jhelum, Bajaur, Shab Qadar, Faisalabad and several other cities of the Punjab and KP.
