KARACHI: Kaukab Nadeem Waraich was on Monday elected unopposed as the president of Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF), while Azhar Ali Shah retained his seat as secretary.
Javed Khan was elected as treasurer, a press release issued by the PCF said.
Major Rizwan Bashir got elected as senior vice-president, while Senator Rubina Khalid, Lt Col (retd) Saad Ibne-Ul-Hasan, Mohammad Haroon, Nisar Ahmed and Mozzam Khan were elected as vice presidents.
Shehzada Butt, Jan-e-Alam and Ishtiaq Mubeen were elected as associate secretaries.
Pakistan Sports Board’s (PSB) official Azam Dar was present at the electoral meeting as an observer.
Before the election, budget for 2015-16 was approved.
Addressing the house, Waraich vowed that all efforts would be made to promote cycling in Pakistan.
He stated that the PCF would focus on the training of riders for the South Asian Games and other international events.
