‘Talks on for Australia A tour’

ISLAMABAD: Negotiations are on for Australia A team’s tour to Pakistan in October-November next year or depending on the availability of the tourists, revealed Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chief Executive Wasim Khan on Thursday.

Wasim, who recently met Cricket Australia officials in Australia, said that invitation had been extended to the CA on the possibility of Australia A team tour to Pakistan.

“In all expectations, Australia A will be in Pakistan in October 2020. Cricket Australia will intimate on the final dates of the tour in due course.” MCC team is also due in Pakistan in coming February for a few friendly matches. “MCC tour will definitely help in rebuilding confidence of foreign teams and their possible future visit to Pakistan,” Wasim said.

After Sri Lanka, Bangladesh will be the next Test team visiting Pakistan. Bangladesh tour likely to start from January 23 to February 14.
