What can we say about Salt Arts that hasn’t been said before? After pulling off 75 live shows, the music and arts production company that believes firmly in the power of collaborations is getting ready to take Karachi on a massive ride.
After announcing Shamoon Ismail, Ali Gul Pir and Hamza Akram Qawwal as the three artists who will perform at ‘SuperSalt’ 2019, Salt Arts has added other artists as well.
During SuperSalt, there will be a first stage – a launch pad for Karachi-based artists which will take place from 4 pm to 7 pm before the main stage is taken over by aforementioned musicians.
The first stage will feature Sunraz, “a genre-bending, neo-soul, disco, post British r&b chill wave...”
It will also feature the prominent Hassan Bin Shaheen, who is a writer, comedian and rapper among other things.
DJ Saulat Qadri will also feature, known for “retro vibes, feel good, classic, music – expect disco, funk and soul.”
Apart from providing such incredible variety, the SuperSalt main artists are still to be revealed beyond Shamoon, Hamza Akram Qawwal and Ali Gul Pir. Scheduled to take place on December 14, this will be a night of music where genres will melt as musicians, rappers, qawwals, DJs – all come together to provide an unforgettable night.
