Though pensioners in Sindh have not been disbursed arrears so far on a 10 percent increase in pension given to them in the provincial budget for FY2015-16, in-service employees of the Sindh government have started getting the raise the latter were given. The reason for depriving pensioners their rightful share is because the notification to this effect has not been issued to the relevant departments. This is what we are told by the Hyderabad DAO.
Has the Sindh government one set of rules for retired civil servants and another for in-service employees? How do civil servants get enhanced salaries? Will the authorities concerned move fast to check this injustice?
