With fashion peaking to a crescendo before calming down, the last week offered enough fodder to feed the fashionista in us all. Style statements were made all over, from film promotions to musical evenings, taking styles from soft and feminine to the quirky and fun.
Here are five of our favourite celebs, whose looks we loved the most:
SARA HAIDER
Huawei launch
Sara Haider definitely is a powerful vocalist but her sartorial notes are just as strong, unlike most Pakistani musicians who often resort to a pair of ripped jeans or bomber jackets for a fashion statement. Sara pairs a scarlet red one-shoulder top from Sana Safinaz bridal collection with simple black pants and does pretty well in the sexy stakes.
SHEHERYAR MUNAWAR SIDDIQI
Ho Mann Jahaan trailer launch, Karachi
Sheheryar Munawar Siddiqui may still have a few weeks to go before he can prove his acting skills in Ho Mann Jahaan but he sure is going all out in the style department. The actor brings the brightness of ocean blue nautical stripes to his autumn wardrobe and we are totally digging the waves he’s making with them.
MANTAHA MAQSOOD
Wardha Saleem flagship store opening, Karachi
Mantaha Maqsood is living proof that you need to have the right body tone if you want to nail your look. She rocks this Wardha Saleem digital-printed creation and takes it higher with those neon stilettos. If that isn’t motivation to join her health and fitness classes then nothing is!
ALIA BHATT
Launch of her film’s song
‘Shaam Shandaar’
Her fashion choices aren’t always ‘shandaar’ but the look she’s adapted for her upcoming film certainly is! Alia Bhatt is on a roll for promoting the Shahid Kapoor starrer Shandaar and pop art has been her most preferred choice of expression. Just one amongst a string of fun and weird outfits, this doodle dress makes the cut for being a definitive trans-seasonal party outfit.
PARINEETI CHOPRA
Elle India cover shoot
Parineeti Chopra has been away from the spotlight for a while and it appears she’s been working hard to shed that baby fat. The actress looks fab on the cover of Elle India in a shimmering gold, figure-hugging Sabyasachi gown. Inspiration!
