Why is a T20 league so important for PCB?

The Board has tried and failed to launch its own T20 league in the past. Now it’s hoping to have the inaugural edition in the UAE next year. But the only way a professional league can provide a much-needed shot in the arm to Pakistan cricket is if it is successfully held on home soil. Otherwise what’s the point?
