Andy Warhol would be proud. Almost half a century since he started the visually brilliant Pop Art movement in America, his kind of artistic expression has found its way into collections, closets and even museums time and time again. And 2014 has been another big year for Warhol’s legacy: from the catwalks of Milan to Elan’s Summer 2014 collection in Pakistan, Pop Art has been popping up like crazy. Are you ready to take the flight of fantasy?

Crazy, kitschy and not for the faint at heart, Prada served a very high end of street art with this SS’14 collection. As women wondered whether it was their cup of tea or not, fashion’s ultimate style setter, Vogue’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, gave it her stamp of approval when she turned up the voltage at a premiere in this coat from the collection. The devil really does wear Prada!

Hailee Steinfeld takes nail art to the next level at last year’s Comic Con. Her fun, comic book themed nails truly capture the essence of the event and though spotted in 2013, it confirms the fact that while Hailee is just16 years old, she is far ahead of her time when it comes to fashion and beauty. She has us going gaga over those bang on nails, cool manicure alert!

Elan Vital served its own version of pop art this summer. Modern, bright, artsy and wearable, this particular kurta may be loud but a dose of crazy can never hurt a woman’s unique sense of style! It definitely made an edgy statement. It’s good to see designers tapping into some individuality rather than feeding women the usual fodder of flora and fauna!

While pop art has been gracing everything from a mini to home décor as well as sneakers, one thing we didn’t expect to see it on is a saree! But when it comes to style diva Sonam Kapoor, expect the unexpected. Sonam spells glamour with a capital ‘G’ in this Masaba Gupta for Satya Paul lipstick print saree. She enhances her look with a pair of statement earrings keeping other accessories to a bare minimum and letting saree do all the talking.
